Have you ever interviewed a person for a job at your place of business?
If so, then what questions do you ask of them? What body language signals yea or neigh for you giving them a job? I am learning this part of the job, and want to know more from people who actually do this.

- yea thier knowledge and self confidence and expression
- I look for passion for numbers. Not just knowledge...but passion for the subject. It could be straight forward...could be anecdotal...but I want to see some passion for the field.
- i've interviewed over 100 people, the easiest way is really depending on what type of job it is. i was interviewing for sales so i would look more in how they delivered there response to ?'s rather than what there answer was. but most importantly you have to make sure they can be there everyday, and make sure if they have kids that you tell them you will never accept the no baby sitter excuse and be confidant!
- How good are you at reading people? It's both an art and a skill. Of course it is important to ask the right questions, and have the right questions asked back in return-- the resume and background has to be there as well. Still-- reading a person. Get that part of the interview down, and you'll have no problems...
- OK, IMHO, the only way to determine which questions to ask is to determine what you are looking for. Then search for the term "behavioral interviewing". Use the questions you find. Behavioral interviewing will help you tremendously in determining if the applicant is right for what you are looking for. Behaviors determine success. Not tasks, like "I took phone calls from customers" or "I processed claim forms".
