Learn Body Language

What games should I do to help kids learn a third language?

I am tutoring Spanish to a 9 year old and a 5 year old. They are nice kids but are not the types to sit still at the table. They like games and hands on things so what can I do to incorporate language learning and games? I need them to learn the alphabeth, numbers, days, months, seasons, foods, animals, parts of the body ecc. Can anyone suggest games and activities for each of these topics!? Help!!! I have little experience with younger children!!!!

  1. 1. rhyme forms (you can have a rhyme which may have all the months of the year) 2. Get a few puzzles like "Match the correct ones" & stuff 3. Tell them a "Spanish word" and ask them to draw the fruit or veggie appropriately...
  2. In my spanish class, we do a lot of gestures- it's not really a game, but we assign a gesture to each word, and then we cement it in our brains by doing a sort of "Muestrame la palabra"- give the gesture and have them say the word, or vice versa.
