in non-verbal communication, what does nose-sctraching mean? Ive seen girls do it all them time when theydont like someone, am I right?

- It could mean they find someone irritating, like an itch.. I don't know, I have never really noticed it.
- Nose Scratching generally implies "I am saying yes but i actually disagree"...but then with females every other non-verbal communication means that only!
- Touching of the face may mean they feel dissonance about what is occurring. The nose, somebody might have bad breathe. A touch of guilt might be implied. Anytime the hand or arm crosses the body it is a defense mechanism that is used to protect oneself psychology.
- When I scratched my nose, it meant that it's itchy. It doesnt really mean that when girls dont like someone, they scratch their noses. You cant just generalize nose-scratching as disliking someone. Sometimes, it's just Murphy's Law -- when your hands are tied up, your nose starts to itch. Think about it.... Do guys scratch their noses when they dislike someone too??? Let's just not conclude that we, girls, express dislike by nose scratching.
- Traditionally it means the person is lying [ covering the mouth as they speak ], but, body language is more complicated than one gesture. Non verbally it would suggest repressing an urge to say something.
