does any body know what is the % of which we humans use of verbal communication VS non-verbal communication?

for exanple, humans use 30% verbal and 70% non-verbal....

2. I don't know for sure either, but I thought it was only 10% verbal vs. 90% nonverbal.
3. I would say that your percentages would be about accurate. I work with hearing impaired people , they communicate with facial expressions, gestures, body language and sign language but if you watch other people , we all communicate to some degree with these skills too. Watch other peoples eyes, they really are the windows to the soul.
4. On the telephone 100% verbal - 0% non verbal Sign language 100% non verbal - 0 Face to face - I think it's 80% non-verbal and 20% verbal. But that varies depending on, situation and culture.
