How a parole or probation officer benefits from from an understanding of nonverbal communications when interviewing an offender or parolee.

  1. Basically they just use body language, eye contact and other visual psychology to tell if the offender/parolee is lying or not.
  2. well, the obvious answer to me would be that body language could be a clue that the person is being less than completely truthful, and that the officer should ask more questions about the topic. Hope this helps!
  3. They can also use the odor of alcohol or drugs as a reason to violate you or to order a drug test.
