What does positive body language mean to you?
I'm just wondering how people define this. Is it facial expression? The way someone walks/talks? Tone of voice? Mannerisms? Last night, my friend said I might not look or be approachable to those who don't know me. She said that I usually have my "screw face" on and that I'm apt to give off the "don't f*ck with me" vibe. It's not something I notice I do but I think it partly comes from my environment. I want to be successful in all areas of my life. But how do you learn positive body language? Is it the whole package? Also, is there a good book in this area that you could recommend? Thanks for your answers. I just don't want to look so mean and intimidating to others.

- There is nothing more attractive than a self-confident woman. The trick is to apply and understand your "sexuality" without being a skank. You don't need approval or permission from anybody (I certainly don't - care or give a rats behind). They want a body image, how about a swift kick in the pants. A smile goes a long way... * I spilt coke on my keyboard and the stupid keys are freaking getting stuck. Grrrrrrr!!!
- all of the above... keep your arms at your sides, and don't cross them.. face people straight on, not turning away... try to slightly lean towards them to show interest... remember that each person has their own tale to tell... encourage yourself to wonder about them, so that your face looks more interested and open... and every lil bit, walk away by yourself to take a breather and relax... it's hard work!!! once you get used to it, i think it'll come more naturally to you... and yeah, i really really know what you mean about environment... lol...... me tooooooooooooo......... search amazon.com under kinesics; here's one link, but i haven't read the book http://www.amazon.com/Definitive-Book-Body-Language/dp/0553804723/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215750299&sr=1-1
