  1. emotions can be expressed as both verbal and non verbal.
  2. Emotions can be expressed verbally, through language and words. This usually requires some explicit perception of one's own personal emotions in order for someone to express these emotions. Also, the verbal emotions can be expressed in their tone of voice, prosody, tempo, and other language components. However, emotions can also be expressed non-verbally, especially through body movements. For example, one could appear sad if one cries or slouches. This type of emotion can be explicit or implicit (without the person with the emotion realizing that they feel that way). http://www.dictionary.com defines emotion as: "any strong agitation of the feelings actuated by experiencing love, hate, fear, etc., and usually accompanied by certain physiological changes, as increased heartbeat or respiration, and often overt manifestation, as crying or shaking." It describes the non-verbal part of emotion.
  3. Well verbal is pretty easy:yelling, crying, laughing.Nonverbal could be downcast eyes, arms closed tightly inward, slow movements.
