  3. yes. Over 70% of our communication is body language
  4. it depends. right brained people focus more on body language; left brainers dont. it also matters how extreme the body language is. if ur yankin ur nektie n gagging, that would be mor affectiv
  5. It depends on who is on the receiving end. Any form of communication can be misinterpreted but I find that non-verbal (body language) can either go unnoticed or be just totally misinterpreted.
  6. I wouldn't say it's more effective...it depends on the situation and what you're talking about. But body language can definitley change the meaning of certain things you are trying to say. Same thing with facial expressions.
  7. I think that body language will often tell the truth when the words floating around us are full of lies. Negative body language can be hurtful, but the reason it is SO telling is that most people are not aware of their bodily responses to others...
  8. Yes.
  9. It all depends on what you are trying to communicate. Body language is more effective at communicating simple and universal ideas, such as agression, sexual desire and despair. However, if you want to communicate, for example, why you adopted a certain spirituality or answer a question such as this one, only words can do.
  10. You are right Beck. 55 percent of communication is non verbal-body language, 38 percent is the tone of the message, and only 7 percent are the words spoken.
