Differentiate the term of Non verbal Communication and Body language?
Public Comments
- i really don't think there is a difference i think they are one of the same for full communication tone 25% words 25% body language 50%
- Non-verbal communication can also include silences. It can also include written communication, tone of voice, volume, even gestures may be different from body language. Body language usually refers to the position of your body in reference to someone else's and it may refer to the position of your limbs more than your facial expression.
- non verbal communication is communicating with the means of sign language, written communication, or any other means that does not uses the mouth, while body language are simply gestures .
- ok let me try, non-verbal communication would be shaking your head yes or no, holding up your finger as to say "wait a minute'", waving your hand as to say "come here", ect. Body langage would be, a face your making to display your dis-pleasure, sloping shoulders when you feel defeated, standing with your head up and shoulders back when feeling confident, ect.
- Body language is all about the ways in which we manipulate our body unconsciously depending on the thoughts we have. Body language is not a 100% indicator, they say if you cross your arms that you are closed to new ideas, however if your arms ache and you sit that way does that mean that ideas dont go in your head? No. Its an idea of whats goin on. Non verbal communication, this is something that is not the spoken word. We say something with words, and these words are verbally communicated. Non verbal things can be the tone of your voice, or the speed, the volume or body language etc etc. Verbal = words only.
- There is verbal and non-verbal communication. Period. Body Language is how you use your body to tell people how you feel etc. If you sit with your arms crossed while talking with your hubby, you aren't too happy with the way it's going. If you roll your eyes, look up, look right or left these are tells (look em up). If you squirm in your seat what message are you sending?
